srs biznez.

[Kristen Burke] She had been nursing a bit of a headache through the morning but it had finally faded. Plenty of water helped when the cause of a headache was a hangover. She's wearing a lovely white summer dress that ended mid-thigh. Her feet are bare. Between the two it is fairly obvious she has no intention of going outside. She sits in the common room with her legs tucked up beside her and her bag next to her almost like a pillow. She's working on a sketch in her book, not the one from yesterday.

[Daoi Gladecu] *She was there agian at the Brotherhood. She was becoming more and more disheartened with the garou she had met. But did she expect anyless honestly? And with dishearted garou there were dishearted kinfolk, another thing that she expected. Though she was finding little bits of light in the most intresting places. The grumpy kinfolk solder, the uktena hiding behind coookyness, a black fury with a seemingly real intrest in those around her...or trying to make it work. Bless their hearts.

She limped into the front door after parking. Her cane taping on the floor. The ebony wood shot up with a gold wolfs head in her hand with each swing. Daoi wasn't the most attractive of people. Maybe a girl next door look...if you were in europe, that was until she turned her face and showed the world was a Blood Hound famori had done to her, leaving scars from hair line to disaear hunder her shirt and leave a grey eye drooping. She wore jeans and a tshirt under a black pea coat. On one of her fingers was a wolf's head with two twisted tounged in the form of a gold ring with topaz eyes.

Kora had told her to find Lukas and introduce herself. Even now she bridled at it a little. She was so used to doing her own thing, it was odd to have to deal with the true borns agian*

[Bone-Grinder] Simon came to the Brotherhood with a sense of purpose. His eyes were focused, ever looking ahead, ever looking forward. He was a war bringer, a war maker... His blood pulsed with an ancient and somewhat terrifying air to it. Shadow Lords were not known for their kindness it was their cunning and terrifying skill that the nation knew them best for. Simon was a warrior and right now, and seemingly perpetually, he was at war.

He came to the brotherhood with someone in mind. Someone in particular had asked him to gather information... So he came to report but he came to report more than that. Simon was business oriented and so long as there was a threat to the sept out there he would continue to pursue it relentlessly and without pause.

He stepped up the stairs gracefully and slipped past the common area. He knew where Lukas spent his nights and that seemed as good a place as any to attempt to find the elder Full Moon.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] With the Brotherhood as full as it is these days, it's perhaps surprising to find the common room so quiet on a Saturday night. But quiet it is -- quiet enough for one Garou to curl up in the corner of the sectional and sketch; quiet enough for another to wander up the stairs with a book in one hand and a platter of lamb kebabs in the other. Just like old times.

Lukas doesn't halt when he sees the other two, but he's clearly aware of them. He looks directly at them, fearlessly, quietly curious. Even without Kristen's supernatural awareness of pure breeding, it's hard for anyone to mistake him for what he is. He's the very picture of a Shadow Lord, with eyes starkly, palely blue, like gas flames, like glacial ice; hair black as coal.

His rank is in his bearing. It is not overt, or aggressive; his presence simply and quietly dominates the room. He sets his plate down on the coffee table and drops down on the couch, tossing his book beside himself. It's nonfiction; it's an examination of the dissolution of Alexander's empire after his death and the divergent destinies of all those separate empires of the mediterranean and the near east.

"Help yourself," he says of the lamb kebabs, inviting.

[Daoi Gladecu] *Silently and carefully she heads up the stairs. She hates those fucken things, but Kora did say. It was the best place to leave him a message. One by one she took them leaning aginst the wall and using her cane. Her shoulder poping on occasion as she leaned her weight on it. Her thigh missing the mucle that would give her extra leverage to climb up the stairs alone. SHe could feel the rage trickling down the stair way. She sighed inwardly as she finally reached the landing and headed further into the common room*

[Kristen Burke] "Thank you." Though she does not immediately take any. "I'm Kristen." Her sketchpad is set to the side, closed with the pencil on top as she looks at the man. He seems important. Even should he not turn out to be this Lukas Derek had mentioned it seemed a good idea to introduce herself.

[Kieran Moonflower] *He moves towards the Brotherhood, holding a bag full of bad for him food. He is whistling, not hiding his movements in the slightest. He looks a bit more pleasant. His smile is there, intact, whole. His shirt is a light blue, with a couple of stains on it. His jeans look rather worn, as do his converse all-stars. But the food, at least, smells good, and seems in abundance. It might actually last him through dinner. But that is quite questionable.*

*He walks into the place, adn then straight up into the common room.*

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] [christ, it wasn't refreshing. Lukas woulda acknowledged Simon too.]

[Daoi Gladecu] (I thought you were talking to Simon LMAO)

[Bone-Grinder] Simon was not nearly as relaxed or comfortable as the others. He was tense... Simon was always tense. Sometimes he felt like he was the only one who took the war this seriously. Perhaps he was! Whatever the case he was here to relay information and the sight of his elder was enough to bring him pause. He fiddled with something in his hand as he turned to approach his elder.

The others were acknowledged with a nod of his head but it was Lukas he came here to see. He stood tall and proud and there was no denying the blood that coursed through his veins had left many tears in it's wake. He was Shadow Lord and that was all that needed to be said.

He came to stand at attention."Excuse me Rhya..."He says calmly as he stands at attention like a soldier might while waiting to be acknowledged by his superior officer. He might be a psychopath but he was a disciplined psychopath. Everything that he did, good or ill, was done with the war in mind. He would never deny that he was a monster but it was the ends that justified every action he took and it showed in the way he stood patiently near his elder waiting to be recognized.

[Kieran Moonflower] *Ki shoves what looks like a very greasy MCDonald's hamburger into his mouth. It seems he has several of them. Correction - cheeseburger. He blinks, when he finally notes the other people, and his eyes flick back and forth between Simon and Lukas, noting the brief tension.* Ahh. *His own Uktena blood might clash with the others. But he doesn't seem to mind in the slightest.* Ahh. Am I... interrupting?

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] Lukas sits where he always does, so long as the spot was empty: on the long arm of the sectional, facing the TV, near enough to the corner that he can stretch out full-length and claim that patch of territory as well.

He doesn't stretch out full-length, though. He puts his feet up on the coffee table and snags a kebab himself, reaching over to clasp Kristen's forearm briefly.

"Lukáš," he introduces himself. "Called Wyrmbreaker, and Cold Victory."

Releasing her, he spots Simon. The young Ahroun always looked serious. Or fanatical. Lukas seems pleased to see him, though, leaning forward to pick up the platter and offer it to Simon.

"Hey, Simon. You look like you have something to say."

[Daoi Gladecu] *Daoi heard the name given. He was the elder she was looking for. She kept silent as the garou made their rounds. Her eyes flicked to look over her family members. It wouldn't do at all to interupt them. So she went as quietly as she could and stood out of the way trying not to make eyes contact. Her head turned as she heard Ki...slowly a dark brow raised at him. She was still amazed the young man hadn't exploded yet*

[Kristen Burke] "Spirit's Touch." She returns the clasp briefly then falls to silence. Simon seems to have something important to discuss.

She looks at Ki and smiles as he walks in. She shakes her head. "As yet, no. Come in, relax and enjoy your food."

[Kieran Moonflower] *He does indeed relax, and another smile breaks out over his face. He drops drown, cross-legged, in the corner of the room. Uncertain, and that much is quite clear. He does, however, hearing the -rhya bit, lift up his head a bit. Throat exposed.*

[Kristen Burke] She smiles and nods at Daoi as well. "Hello Doctor."

[Daoi Gladecu] *She gives a half smile to Kristen*

Hello Miss Burke, I trust all is well?

*Her voice was light so as not to intrupt the two shadow lords, and it had just a slight slavic accent*

[Bone-Grinder] He lets Lukas hand out his introduction and then Simon follows suit."Simon, Bone-Grinder... Whichever you wish is fine."He says back in introduction. His breath is drawn in sharp but he was being polite enough to offer an introduction so that others at least knew who he was.

His attention turned back to Lukas and he nodded his head."I came to give you a few reports. I will be brief as it would appear there are many who wish to speak to you. If you are ready to listen to me that is. Otherwise I can convey the messages to you another time."He says with a nod of his head. His eyes burned as they always seemed to. So much rage, so much strength and fury. He was born to destroy, to hunt, and to kill... He was not a compassionate or caring creature but a living weapon and it was something he did little to hide from others. Heartless and uncaring and ever wearing a smile. He was the reason why even the wyrm's own fear the darkness. It could be unsettling to some to stand in his presence and yet he was supposedly one of the good guys.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "I'm not your drill sergeant, Simon," Lukas comments, wry, "and I don't have an agenda for the night that you're interrupting. If you have something to report, let's hear it."

[Kristen Burke] She nods politely at Simon as he offers an introduction.

"Mm.." She seemed uncertain how to answer the question Daoi posed. She was well enough. Nothing to complain about. However, all really is not well. Not with those things hunting kin. "I am well enough, though there are troubles. Creatures plaguing kin though I am not certain if they are simply creating fear or doing actual harm." Her own voice was quiet, trying not to interrupt though she thought it a good idea to make sure the men knew about it as well. If they didn't already.

[Kieran Moonflower] *He is definitely waiting his turn, after Simon presents what he's trying to present. Introductions, of course ,are important, but he's not about to interrupt. Besides, there is food to be devour.... EW. PICKLES. He spits one out in the bag.*

[Daoi Gladecu] *Daoi considers what Kristen said*

Hmm..that doesn't bode well. I'll tell you if I hear about anything with the other kin. I'll also spread the word as best I can.

*She leans on her cane a bit*

Not even a clue about what's been attacking/scaring?

[Bone-Grinder] He smiles just a hint and nods his head."A flash drive was recently brought to my attention by a local kin by the name of Starla. She uncovered information about a man by the name of Mr. Hutts... He owns a number of companies in the area and he's been aggressively procuring land. He also appears to have ties to organized crime."He continues."I wouldn't consider any of this strange were it not for the fact the land he's been aggressively procuring happens to be in and around the caern."He says getting to his point.

"I have been spreading the information around and keeping others informed as I figure information out. So far he appears normal, and I would like to pass the matter off to the kin to deal with as a full moon is overkill in this kind of situation. However, I want to be certain he doesn't have ties to other organizations. When I am certain of this I will report to you about the matter."He confirms.

"I will be keeping contact with some of the others in the sept to see what can figure out. I honestly don't like the idea of wasting any more time on this than I have to. I would much rather focus my attention on direct and obvious threats but this is getting a little close to home to turn my back on."

[Kristen Burke] "They...have Rage but nothing is seen when it attacks. They are tainted. But I believe that whatever they are, they have bodies and can be killed if we can find them and make them visible, somehow. I have a blade with blood on it I believe to be theirs. I plan to speak with spirits to see what they can tell me of what is going on but for now I really have little to go on. Derek and another man who I only know as Cipher were also there when we saw these things harassing Miss Cassie Young. But she fled before we could stop her."

[Kieran Moonflower] *His eyes flick back and forth, and his jaw definitely starts working. He puts down the remaining burgers, to listen.*

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] The name makes Lukas's lips quirk, though he quickly subdues it. There's this to be said for him: he's an attentive listener, careful with details, unlikely to be flippant or dismissive.

"Thanks for the heads-up," he says when Simon's done. "Your concern's definitely valid, but you're right -- it's not quite time for full moons yet. I'm going to have you hold off on going after Jabba the Hutt with fangs bared. Give me a copy of that flash drive and I'll pass it on to some of the kin. I'll get Adamidas and Joey on it too, see who of their auspicemates they want to put on sniffing this out. I'll let them know you're spearheading this one."

[Daoi Gladecu] *she nods*

If you would like Miss Burk, when you have I can take a small sample of the blood, of course when you are ready, and run it against the streigns I already have documented. I could at least rule out famori, hopefully if it will help.

*She rubs the side of her nose, as she leans and lets her eyes slide over the two shadow lords agian then to Ki and shakes her head looking back at Kristen*

But that's up to you of course.

[Kieran Moonflower] Could you use a new-moon on this? *he asks, with a blink of his eyes. Almost curiously, slightly timid. He doesn't quite seem to be sure of what's going on. But it's clear, he wants to be of use.*

[Kristen Burke] "Actually that would be wonderful. I apologize for not thinking of it and offering. I have the blade in my room if you have anything you would use to retrieve the blood or I can bring it somewhere for you to get what you need to check."

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] Lukas's eyes flick toward the suddenly-vocal Ragabash. "Yeah," he says. Then, "Who are you?"

[Kieran Moonflower] *He nods.* Kieran Mondblume, Twisting-Winds by deed, Uktena and new-moon by birth. Cliath by rank, rhya.

[Kristen Burke] She looks over at Ki and is about to reply but then Lukas speaks up and so she closes her mouth again.

[Daoi Gladecu] Please...I'm a kinfolk to shadow lords...we're like boy scouts just more likely to tie you up and leave you upside down from a tree.

*Daoi smiles a bit*

I have something in my bag.

*She pats her purse*

[Bone-Grinder] He nods his head slowly and offers out the drive."I've already had Leon take a look at it. He and his new formed pack seem to be specializing in dealing with this kinda shit. So I hope they'll come up with some information for us to use. I really couldn't care what happens to this guy. If he's just a local mob boss he can run around and commit whatever crimes he wants as far as I'm concerned. I just don't wanna take the chance he's funded by or working with the hive if you know what I mean?"He asks curiously.

"I was planning on speaking to Joey next. To see if we can't get someone into his office at night to do a little snooping."He smiles a little."I was also contemplating paying him a little visit when he's alone... People tend to be so much more talkative in person."He smiles just a hint."But I've gotta find his ass first. I think I can manage to shake a little information out of a mob boss without causing any suspicion as to where I come from. And if it gets a little too hot..."He pauses with a little smile taking shape."He wouldn't be the first man to mysteriously disappear in Chicago."He says with the obvious hint that he has no problem taking care of a threat.

"I wanna make sure this doesn't have ties to something bigger. Anything after that I can lat the cops mop up."

[Kristen Burke] She laughs softly and nods. Then she stands and heads for her room to retrieve the blade in question. She'd managed to get a baggie to put it in so as to not lose the blood but she has not cleansed it yet for fear that clearing the taint will clear the ability to trace it as well. She brings the bag with her back out into the main room quickly. She doesn't want to miss the bits of the other conversation either.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "Twisting Winds is volunteering," Lukas says, "so let him go take a take. Keep Joey in the loop.

"Strictly low-key scouting, though," he adds to Kieran. "Don't disturb anything; don't take any chances of getting discovered. If you can't get to it without taking a risk, don't try. Let's prod it from all angles first, see which gives most easily."

Then to Simon -- "No." It's almost vehement, a line in the sand. "Do not approach Hutts. Don't tip our hand yet. Let the kin and the smaller moons investigate it for now. You don't know anything about him. If he is connected to something bigger, we'll give ourselves away -- or worse, destroy our only lead up. If he's more than you can handle, we'll not only do all that but lose you in the process as well.

"Don't go after him personally until we have more information, Bone Grinder. Do you understand?"

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] [take a LOOK. wtf.]

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] [btw Ki, i think you'll want to get in touch w/ punkin about this, since she's running this SL.]
to Bone-Grinder, Kieran Mondblume

[Kieran Mondblume] *He grins at that, and he nods.* Only in lupus, *he assures Lukas.* And I will speak with the spirits. I'll look into it, do what I can. *He looks so excited.*

[Daoi Gladecu] *Daoi opens her bag and takes out a baggie*

I honestly don't know why I still carry stuff like this around.

*She says softly and takes out a swab. She looks at Kristen*

Open the bag please, so I don't have to druggle things and accidently fall on your knife and kill myself.

*She waits for her to opened the bag and takes a swab of just a little so she can get enough to work with. And then stick her swab back in her own bag that disapears into her purse*

I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible

[Adamidas] Almost two seasons ago, Alethea Adamidas became a spiritual construction worker.

She tromps up the stairs, soundling like a lumberjack. Big, heavy steps. She sounds like she's a six foot four mountain of muscle. She's not as strong as she used to be- carrying her tool belt is becoming a bit of a task. She stops on one of the stops.

Creeeeaaaaak.
"Mn?"
She bounces.
creakie-creakie.
"Mn."
She frowns.

The Fury continues up the stairs and stops in the common room. There are people lingering there, and she looks to the left, looks to the right. There's a burn mark in the sleeve of her shirt. It's a plaid flannel thing. It smells like Irene. Her jeans are torn, her boots are scuffed and worn.

"... third step from the top is loose, be careful."

[Nathalie Bystrov] She ascends the stairs, looking around as she moves. She's never been up here, only told about it, but it's time she meet more Garou out here.

[Kristen Burke] She opens the bag and moves the blade up so it is easy to reach. When Daoi has her sample she seals it again and moves to put it within her own bag. "Thank you, as you said, you carry them for the just in case. It never hurts to be prepared." She smiles. It's clear that she's happy to know that someone has a good idea of what to do to look into this.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "If you go in lupus," Lukas replies to Kieran, "go through the umbral. Bring a -- hey, Adamidas!"

He nods the Fury over. When she's close enough to speak to without shouting, the Shadow Lord launches right into it: "Simon heard through one of the kin that there's some potential mobster named Hutts is buying up land around the Caern. He can fill you in on the details in a moment. Kieran volunteered to scout out Hutts's offices at night. I'm asking him to go in through the Umbra, and I'd feel better if he had a Theurge with him to take a spiritual reading of the place. Have any recommendations?"

[Daoi Gladecu] *She looks down and up then around*

Now Miss Burke I can't promise I'll find anything, but if I should I'll tell you. If I can't find anything I'll send the sequence to some contacts and allies to see if they are in the police database. Maybe I'll even be able to get you a face.

*She shurgs*

Of course it doesn't always happen that way. If it's a wild famori I may not be able to label it.

[Kieran Mondblume] *He smiles.* It's what I was going to do. Talk to some of the local spirits, see what I couldn't find through them.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] The penny suddenly drops -- Kieran can see it, the proverbial light bulb going on. "You're an Uktena," Lukas says. "Of course. You can speak to spirits?"

[Kristen Burke] "Um...I'm a Theurge..." She offers to Lukas...

[Nathalie Bystrov] She steps out of the immediate way of the stairs and waits politely, looking around the room and attempting not to seem like she's eavesdropping.

[Kristen Burke] "It still is good to know there is something that is being looked at. That there is some potential direction." She nods at Daoi, smiling.

She looks over at Lukas and Ki when they add that Ki is going to speak with the spirits and she smiles and nods. Well then, that solves that. She's glad that Ki is getting a chance to feel useful. She wouldn't try to take that from him.

[Bone-Grinder] He takes a slow and patient breath. His eyes do flare a little."Of course Rhya... I will defer to the New Moons for the moment but I would like to be kept in regular communication with whoever is handling the matter. I want to know that this is being actively addressed and treated as a threat until there is reason to believe that we are safe. I also want to stand ready to aid anyone who might find themselves in trouble. Communication in this sept has been poor at best and I would like to stay on top of this matter directly in the event things do escalate into violence."He says back to Lukas.

Simon was a soldier through and through and he never stopped or paused to think about much outside of that. He was created to make war and that was what he did. So it was apparent that sitting back and doing nothing was not something he could handle easily.

[Kieran Mondblume] *He grins at that, and he nods.*

[Kieran Mondblume] *He looks back to Lukas.* Well. Whatever I find out I'll be reporting in. I've got a LOT to learn, so it's really okay. I won't be taking over a full-moon's job ANY time soon.

[Adamidas] The tools go over one shoulder, and her jacket gets dropped off somewhere along the way. She adjusts her stance and listens. She nods, and listens. She looks far away, but she always looks far away. Adam's about as grounded right now as she always is.

"Okay," she says, and her attention flickers from Kieran to Kristen and she smiles. It's a lightbulb, or finding left over Halloween candy, "do you think you two can work well together? Two heads are better than one and... well... good things might come out of is."

Like some delightful spiritual matchmaker.

[Kieran Mondblume] *His eyes brighten.* I could use the backup, but she sounds busy with the knifey-stabby thing.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] Something about what Simon says, or the way he puts it, makes Lukas smile a little. It's fond. His tone is too when he answers, "Don't worry, Simon. I'm not going to take this one away from you. Like I said, I'm trusting you to spearhead this, even if you're not on the front lines right now. I'll send everyone I put on this to you, and you'll report back to me. If nothing else, it saves me the trouble of hearing a dozen reports, and earns you some street cred toward Fostern besides."

To Kristen, then, "I overheard a bit of your conversation earlier about disappearing kin. I have some kin working on that already, along with my packmate Sarita, so if you want to follow up on it I'll pass your contact information on to them so you can hook up. But if you want to accompany Kieran as well, that works for me."

[Kristen Burke] "Well, I certainly wouldn't mind going along. I can work on both." She smiles. "I would be grateful if you would pass along the information Lukas."

[Bone-Grinder] He nods back to Lukas."Thank you Rhya... I will look forward to hearing back about the matter."He says softly. He was relieved to hear it at the very least it meant that he would have a recourse if this matter started to drag out longer than it needed to."I also have a report for you... I will deliver it to your room so you can review my assessment quietly."He says with a nod of his head.

"If that is all I will take my leave Rhya. You may hand out my number to anyone who you assign to this matter."This was professional Simon not foul mouthed arrogant prick Simon. He was conducting business here and did so with a lot less frill. Like a soldier should.

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] A light dusting of snow had fallen in the last few gasps of winter in Chicago. A small mist of that small snow still lingers in the air around the city as well. It had been several months since he has been anywhere around this place. Several months since the incident that nearly put him into a coma, that Mama left the city. He seemed to be off the grid when it came to the true born. No one looked for him, no one probably even knew he existed, the only garou he ever met were Mama and her pack.

But there was one garou he had learned of, that he kept track of as best he could. A personal detective had been unleashed to watch her, keep tabs on her. Bury secrets here and there. And now he had come to learn that she was once again back in the city, back at the Brotherhood of Thieves. Adamidas was here again. And even if part of him doubted that this was a wise idea, he had seen some strange things in the media. He had to find out if ths had anything to do with... well them.

He parks his audi several blocks from the BroHo, opting to walk back to the place where their kind had set-up. A light dusting of moisture laying over his peacoat. When he arrives at the restaurant, still dressed in his business suit when he opens the door to the place.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] [hold up! before anyone dashes off: you should all get in touch with Punkin for this storyline, as she's running it. also, lukas might put danicka on the USB key to decrypt it, so you might gain another member if kai decides to join the SL. other than that, have fun! i'm mostly gonna take a backseat on this OOCly -- too busy *LOL*]
to Bone-Grinder, Kieran Mondblume, Kristen Burke

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "Will do. Thanks for stopping by, Simon. Have a kebab before you go."

To Kristen then: "I'll get you the numbers in a minute. My phone's charging in my room."

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] [you can assume Kristen gets Sarita, Drew and Eli's contact information!]
to Kristen Burke

[Daoi Gladecu] *she waits and lets her eyes dart around as she waits for them to wrap things up so she can make the introduction Kora told her to. Carefully she steps forward now and nods to Lukas*

Lukas-Rhya...

*She nods her head to him*

I have been informed that I should contact you. I'm Dr. Daoi Gladecu and am currently residing in the city

[Adara Mires] She made her way up the stairs, her step light, almost noiseless except form the fact that old stair cracks. The slim young woman was dressed in flat soled boots, old, worn, faded jeans and a black tank top . Her coat was under her right arm. When she reached the top of the stairs, she stop beside Nathalie "Evening Nathalie"She say with a nod and smile.

She recognize Lukas and offer him a small bow "Good evening Cold Victory Rhya. How are you doing?"

She beam a smiel to Adamidas "And to you as well Rhya"

Her eyes scan the room, nodding to Simon, smiling brightly to Kriten then to Kieran. She also nod and smile to Daoi.

Wow, this was like a surprise party and no one told her about it.

[Ki Mondblume] *He raises a hand to Adara. It seems his energy is restored.*

[Nathalie Bystrov] "Hi Adara."

[Kristen Burke] She smiles brightly at Adara as the woman comes in. Kristen is in a white summer dress with thin straps that comes to about mid-thigh and barefoot. It is fairly obvious she had no intention of going out at the moment. She seems much more cheerful than she was in the morning. Then again, as she was nursing a mild hangover headache this morning, it's not hard to guess that the headache is simply gone now.

[Adamidas] She is trying not to look as excited as she is. She's trying to play it cool but it isn't working. She looks at Adara, and she lights up. The Fury has been so easily, so readily pleased by the presence of her tribal sisters and she hasn't made any attempt to really push it aside.

"Hey," she says, "doin' good... one of the stairs is being weird, so be careful. I don't know how good of a handiperson I am yet and I haven't fixed it. How're you holding up? No problems? Everything's good?"

[Ki Mondblume] *It seems Adamidas' excitement is bringing up Ki's as well. His smile starts to widen, seeing how excited she is. It's like he's missing something. Instead, he digs into the bag of greasy hamburgers.*

[Bone-Grinder] He shakes his head."Thank you for the offer Rhya but if this matter is going to be handled for the moment then there are other matters I should be getting to. I hope we have a chance to sit down and enjoy a meal soon though."The young Full Moon was frighteningly business oriented and it might be understandable since he is actually rapidly earning himself a reputation in the sept. However those who knew Simon knew that there was only one force driving him and that was the desire to see the enemies of the Garou crushed beneath his boot. All other matters were a distant second. The world could burn to the ground around him and it would not phase him one bit. He was created to make war and war is all he was. It showed in his stance, and confidence, and attitude. He would fight until the day death itself finally came to snatch him away to finally catch a little sleep, and even that would be a violent and bloody struggle. I do not envy death in that task!

He has passed off the flash drive and smiled slightly."There are several companies listed there. He probably has more than one office about town."He says with a nod of his head."I would suggest checking on each one. I would also suggest being cautious... This guy has soldiers and everything. I am willing to bet he's also paranoid as all fuck so look out for cameras and other recording devices. I would start at Famile Media Group..."He then reaches into his pocket and pulls out a Cell Phone which he offers to Lukas."Oh right and I pried this off the corpse of one of his lieutenants. This might help people in locating some of his boys."He says with a nod of his head.

"So right if you need anything further you know hoe to contact me Rhya. I will be in contact with you."He says before turning to leave.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "Hey, Adara." Outside of the moot, in the commons of the Brotherhood -- even surrounded by Business (tm) as he is -- Lukas is a more casual figure. He's relaxing on the couch. He has a book that he won't get a chance to read tonight. He has lamb, which is always cause for a good mood. "I'm all right. Thanks. Yourself?"

The kin of his tribe steps forward, then -- caution in her very motion. Lukas-rhya, she calls him, and his mouth quirks, humored. "Lukáš is fine," he correctly gently. Pale eyes direct, he studies Daoi for an unhurried moment, then nods to her. "Welcome to the city, Dr. Gladecu. Thanks for coming to me. I trust you've heard from my stormcrow?"

[Nathalie Bystrov] She pauses for a moment, looking Lukas over, then, connecting name with face, she nods to herself and heads in his direction, folding her hands behind her back, head tilted to the side and slightly back to show throat, waiting quietly.

[Adara Mires] She smiled ot Nathalie, almost an apologetic smile becasue after a wink to a very energitic Ki and a grin at Kristen who seem to be better after a lnog day than she was this morning. she turn her attention to her tribal elder

"It's really good to meet you Rhya" She say, still smiling warmly, her voice filled with respect "I don't know which stair yo're talking about, but I'll be careful." She look at her with her emerald eyes "And I"m settling in very well thank you. I haven't had any problems with anyone, all have been pretty nice actually. I'm happy to have landed ehre"

She turned her attention to Lukas when he spoke to her "Im doing really good Rhya."

She tilt her head at Simon. He looked extremely focused as he turned to leave. Well they can talk later.

[Ki Mondblume] *He gives Simon a smile as well, and a salute with a cheeseburger.* I'll report into you, when I know more. And I WILL do my part! I won't disappoint. *It is becoming very difficult for him not to say something. It's difficult. He's pressing his lips together.*

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] [i'ma start bolding names so people know they're being addressed -- this scene is huge!]

Breaking briefly to address Simon --

"Thanks for the heads-up. Kieran and Kristen, go with Simon's assessment and start at the Family Media Group office. See what you can dig up and report directly to Simon. I'll get the information through him.

"Simon, I'll make a copy of all the data and send the originals back to you."

[Daoi Gladecu] I have Mr. Lukáš

*she says with a stuborn twich of the mouth. It seemed the kinfolk wasn't going to let one ranking member of the shadow lords in the city go without an honoriffic*

I'll make sure to attend, it best that I can identify family quickly and easily. Thank you.

*she steps away so the others could crowd Lukas agian. There was a soft chuckle or perhaps it was a shiver from all the rage in the room. She give sher half smile and nods her head to Adara*

Hello Miss Mires.

*Carefully she starts to leave the room, her cane making room as she progresses to the stairs. Too many true borns, and just far too many bodies*

[Kristen Burke] She nods at Lukas. "Do you have a phone number that you can be reached at, Simon?"

She saw the Doctor starting to make her way out. "Good night Doctor!"

[Adamidas] "Where were you before?" she isn't aware that her kinfolk is downstairs yet, but her stomach seems to know something that she doesn't. It growls and makes a distinctly unhappy noise. She looks down, then back up.

"I'm gonna get food, anyone want anything?"

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] The restaurant is filled with people enough people it would be easy enough to blend in if he wanted to. Bars on Staurday were just the place to find people trying to escape the week that passed, or more so to fight of the bite of the week that is to come. But he doesn't try to blend in with the people here, he doesn't look to order any food or drinks tonight. He was here for a reason, back beyond the bar was where he headed. To the steps that led upstairs and the rooms beyond.

He pauses a second at the bakery counter, looking beyond the doors to the stairs that led up to the dorms. He wasn't sure who was watching him, who could have looked to stop him, if anyone. But he knew he had to get upstairs, just beyond the doors. He made for a stool at the counter, before suddenly taking off, pushing through the ouble doors and up the steps within one quick burst.

Foolishly, his steps are loud and when he gets to the fourth from the top it creaks and he almost falls.... almost.

[Bone-Grinder] He pauses and nods his head at Lukas' words."Oh right... I forgot. They intend to turn this Caern into a dumping Site when they've finished procuring the land."He says with a slight smirk. THIS is why he suspected this plot stunk of the Wyrm to him.
to Lukas Wyrmbreaker

[Bone-Grinder] [*ROFLMAO* I can't believe I totally forgot that detail!]

[Bone-Grinder] [Oops PM'd that to Lukas... Didn't mean to!]

[Adamidas] The fourth stiar creaks and she stops what she's doing. It's warning enough for her, and the Fury's mind wanders. For a second, she stops, and whatever she was doing is interrupted in favor of heading to the stairs to check something out. The steps are loud, and that one creaky stair is enough to garner her attention.

[Adamidas] So, she takes a few steps over to investigate.

[Adara Mires] She nodded to Daoi "Call me Adara doctor please. And have a good night" She smiled warmly to her then looked back Adamidas "I come from Seattle most recently, Greece and New Mexico before that" She nodded to her when she mention food "All right, I'm going to put my coat in my room and then maybe I'll go down and join you if it's ok with you?"

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] There's a faint snort of a laugh at Simon's parting remark. "Noted," he says.

Daoi is starting to slip away into the hubbub. Lukas sits forward, picking up another kebab. "Hold on a second, Dr. Gladecu," he says. "Tell me a little more about yourself. And if you don't mind me asking, with whom are you staying at the moment?"

[Ki Mondblume] *He yawns at that, and he just gets up.* Sleep first, *he says idly, and it doesn't seem he's talking to anyone in particular.* Taking a two hour nap, and then I'll be going out.

[Daoi Gladecu] *She stops and looks back at Lukas*

With whom? My self Mr. Lukáš.

*Daoi's head tilts and she chuckles softly*

I have been a very indipendant person for a while. Do some new kin or true bornes need a place to say? I have two rooms open if need be.

[Kristen Burke] "Nap well Ki." She smiles and waves to him.

[Ki Mondblume] *He actually jogs to one of the spare rooms.* I WILL! *He is starting to whistle the Pokemon theme when he goes.*

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] His eyes glance up to met the set looking down at him. An unfamiliar stare up to her as he tries to remember the face. He had gotten pictures and what not, but seeing the young girl in the flesh after so long, it was much different. His assault up the stairs to find the fury seemed all to easy. Maybe she was watching him as well after all, like Mama used to do.

The only response he can give the stare was a polite smile that seemed almost infectious. A charming young man, dressed to the nines stood nearly two-thirds the way up the steps. Giving her a little wave when he was caught.

"Hello."

[Adamidas] "... are we being audited?"

[Adara Mires] She watched Adam move down the stairs and start to make her way ot her roomate "I'll give you Simon's number hun. I have it"She hugged her with a grin "You look better than this morning"

She watch Lukas with his kin and tribesmate, have wavved ot Ki when he left. Her eyes move to the stairs once in a while. She wanted to see Adam again..and well often wouldn't be bad either.

[Kristen Burke] She grins at her roommate. "A lack of a headache and direction in a couple troubling matters will do that. How are you?" She hugs Adara back.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] A huff of a laugh, "If you insist on last names, mine is Kvasni&+269;ka. And no, it's not that. If you've heard from my stormcrow, then you've heard about the possible kin kidnappings lately. I'm not one to keep my kin under lock and key, but I'd feel better knowing you were more closely protected over the next few weeks.

"There's still a little room in the Brotherhood if you want to crash here for a while. Alternatively, I'll see about sending one of Thunder's over to take up one of your spare rooms at least until this blows over." He looks past Daoi, nodding toward Nathalie with a half-smile. "Maybe she'll agree to the task."

[Daoi Gladecu] Very well as it pleases you Mr. Kvasnièka

*Her lips twich at his laugh*

but my lab is at my home...will there be any objections? Or should I hold off on my experiments?

*she leans on her cane her back and arms were getting tried. She wasn't sure if she could deal with another dorm room type of home but she would deal for a while*

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "That might depend on the Garou. What sorts of experiments are we talking about?"

[Adara Mires] She shrugh to Kristen "You know the usual, gloomy and depressive" She grined playfully "I'm doing good actually."She pass a hand in her hair "I think I"m a little hungry and you so have to tell me about last inght"

She was smiling warmly

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] There was a bit of a chance that she had forgotten him. It had been some time since he had met her last, and even then it wasn't for that long. He opted to follow in the line of thought she had given him. Smirking inwardly as he looks down at the creaky stairs before catching her eye once more.

"You could say something like that.... Ms. Carrick is it?"

[Daoi Gladecu] I've recived blood from Ms. Burke that I offered to test for her aginst the strains of famori that I currently have on file, to help narrow down what she's looking for. Most of my research is on the famori conditions and how to combat some of their attacks or infections.

*she raises her dark brows over her eyes*

And I do have an autopsy buisness...

[Adamidas] She should be reacting violently. She should growl and she should tell him to get the Hell out. She should be doing a lot of things, but instead... instead she doesn't. instead, she looks at him and she folds her arms across her chest. There is acceptance there.

"That is correct, does there seem to be a problem?"

She keeps the man at bay at the stairs. Takes up a fair amount of space.

[Kristen Burke] "Certainly, should I change and come down and join you for dinner or do you want Lamb Ribs?" She points over toward where Lukas's plate of them is.

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] He nods and keeps moving up the steps towards the younger girl, the one who has been missing since... what seemed forever. He smiled to her once more when she acknowledged his greeting. Only to remember that was not the name she went by now. Dammit maybe he should have kept her files on him after all.

"No no problem Amanda, please my I call you Amanda?"

There was something about him, something that made people naturally gravitate to him, listen when he spoke. It was something he was just born with really.

[Adara Mires] She tilt at the plate "Hmmmm that look tasty, maybe I should get myself that"She look at Kristen "You look fine like that. I'm just going to srop my coat and take off my boots and sock then be ready. I'll introduce you to Adamidas."

She smiled and start heading toward room 3

[Adara Mires] (*tilt her head at the plate...)

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] Jokes could be cracked here at Daoi's expense. Snarks about russian mad scientist woman and madame curie and batshit shadow lord ooga-boogas or the like. If they're there, though, Lukas isn't the one to make them. His eyebrows do flick up momentarily in surprise, but it passes.

"Sounds like your skills could be useful," he says. "I'll keep them in mind should anything else come up. Meanwhile, I'll get in contact with a few of our Tribe and warn them in advance. Would you be more comfortable with a female housemate, even if it's temporary?"

[Kristen Burke] She grins and grabs her bag from the couch. She looks at Lukas with a smile. "It was good meeting you Lukas. Perhaps next time you will not be so hounded."

[Daoi Gladecu] *she waits for it too, but she's learned to ignore it over the years. The teasing and the ridicule of those that don't understand, or feel intimidated.*

It matters little. All I request is they say out of my way. I don't mind coming here before dark if that's easier, and working at home durning the day.

*It's going to suck..fucking stairs! You've gotten soft and lazy, you'll get over it.*

[Adamidas] "I'd prefer that you didn't call me Amanda, but I can make exceptions," she knows what she's dealing with, and she's racking her brain trying to think of where she's seen Sean before. She smiles anyway, it's a pleasant enough expression. Her position stays firm, though. She doesn't lose ground. She doesn't show weakness.

BUt, there's acceptance in a name. She is who and what she is.

"Did Mama C hire you?"

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] Rather bluntly, "Which would you prefer?"

[Daoi Gladecu] I'ed perfer to stay in my home. There are less stairs there.

*she gives a half smile, but she's honest*

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "I'll try to send a tribesman over, then." A pause. "Mind if I ask what happened to your leg?"

[Daoi Gladecu] Famori experiment gone wrong.

*She says clearing her throat. Then met his eyes*

A thing called a Blood Hound, a leech, was staked in our lab, we didn't realize he had one of his thralls in our lab. His thrall let him lose.

*She looks down now and shurgs*

[Adara Mires] She put her coat on the bed, took off her boots and socks, wiggled her toes a litte with a smile "Oh much better"Se say to herself. She came back to join Kristen, looking at the Doc and Lukas "We're going down for food and drinks. If you both or one of you feel like joining us, you're more than welcomed to it"

SHe smiled at them both "If not, have a good night"

She linked her arm with Kristen's "All right, food time"She head toward the stairs and stopped clsoe to Adamidas "Hmm something wrong?" She ask with curiosity

[Kristen Burke] She smiles at Adara, but there is a traffic block and she's been casually waiting anyway.

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] "Adamidas then? That's a very nice smile you there."

He slowly approaches her once more, taking one step at a time until he is within 2 steps from the top. There wasn't much security here at all. Then again when these type of beasts lived here it didn't need much.

"Well in a way you can say something like that. I wasn't hired by anyone. However we both are familiar with someone named Mama. Possibly someone you knew here in Chicago who has since moved on. My name is Sean. Its nice to met you."

[Adamidas] "It'll be fine in a minute," she tells the other Fury. Her voice is low, and she finally perk up when something dawns on her, "this is Sean, he's our kin."

because it dawns on her, she remembers who she is now once he introduces himself and she steps forward, breaches his space, and gives the male a quick one armed hug. She hasn't given way to much space, though, or quite let him upstairs yet.

"I remember you now."

A beat.

"Is everything okay?"

[Adara Mires] She tiptoed to look at the man and offerhim a frnedly smile "Oh hey Sean. How are youdoing? I'm Adara"

She put a hand on Adamida's shoulder very gently "How about we head down for food and sit with him, so he can tell you if there's something up? Food sound so good to me right now"She say with a smile, looking at Sean "You hungry?"

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "And now you work alone," Lukas muses, "and hopefully with greater care."

A moment's pause while Lukas eats another chunk of lamb -- the last -- off his kebab. Then, tossing the skewer down, the Shadow Lord gets to his feet, wiping his hands on a napkin before offering it to Daoi.

"It was good to meet you, Daoi. If you happen to run into other unwarded kin in the city, I'd be grateful if you'd offer to shelter them at your home for a while, at least until the kin-kidnappings have been resolved. I know there are at least two others -- a Carter Roth and a Neda Stevic -- if you want to keep an eye out for them."

[Daoi Gladecu] *she nods*

I'm currently speaking with Carter Roth in hopes he will join me in my research, at the very least as a lab assitant an extra hand would be helpful. And I have met Neda Stevic...

*She leaves any information about Neda Stevic at that.*

Thank you for your time Mr. Kvasnièka, I'll leave you be now...if you need me.

*She carefully reaches into her bag and takes out a card with an e-mail and a phone number on it*

You can contact me through this

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] He looks at the other girl that comes into view now, another one of them. He can feel it in the very depth of his bones. At the base of his spine, the gathering of rage had started to shake him a little But not enough. Even when she throws one-armed hug around him, he holds his own. Either of these two could just rip him to pieces in seconds if the mood hit them.

Better keep what you know secret Sean. Better just play along. Maybe this was a stupid idea.

"I am quite well. But I have seen some... interesting things in the paper that has made me wonder."

He looks to Adara a moment again, smiling when she suggest that continue this downstairs. Maybe that would be wise, more humans, less likely they would just snap kill him there.

"Sure, I could go for something."

[Kristen Burke] "And I'm Kristen," she adds with a smile as she's pulled into view by Adara. "Nice to meet you."

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "You know them. Excellent. Get in touch with them and, if you don't mind your home being a bit of a dormitory for a while, ask them to move in for a few weeks. Tell them I strongly suggest it. It'll be much easier on the Tribesmen if we can simply ward one home and not three."

He accepts the card, tucking it into his pocket. "Thanks," he says, "and thanks for dropping by. I'll see you at the gathering."

No offer to help her down the stairs. She's a Shadow Lord, after all. That would be an insult, a suggestion that she was weak.

[Daoi Gladecu] Miss Stevic is currently a room mate with Sasha a silver fang kinfolk, but I will make sure to extend my offer to Mr. Roth.

*She wouldn't have Stevic in her home, even if they threatend to stick her with another awake blood hound. She nods and turns and starts down the stairs. She doesn't expect help or ask for it. and bless the person that gets in her way. She'll tap them till they move*

[Adamidas] "I'll be down in a little bit? I need to have a few words up here, but when we get down I'd love to hear all about it, Sean. Is everything okay? Are you okay?"

Because she's concerned. It's in her shoulders, in her posture, in her eyes. She is, at that moment, more grounded than she has any right to be.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] A dark eyebrow flicks up. "Interesting. I'll have to ask Kate for the story behind that one.

"Have a good night, Dr. Gladecu."

[Adara Mires] She nodded and bodly pass an arm around Adam's waist gently pulling her aside as she heard the tapping from Daoi's cane "All right Rhya, we'll wait for you downstairs, but we have to let the doctor pass first then Kristen and I"Her mouth was closed to Adam's ear as she spoke softly and respectfully to her Elder

[Daoi Gladecu] Thank you Adara...

*She chuckles but the look on concentration is thick on her face as she navigates down the stairs*

[Adamidas] tap... tap... taptaptap, taptaptap-

And she's being moved.

Only half of what Adara says registers before she gets to-

"Oh! Sorry!"

[Kristen Burke] She moved a bit to let Daoi pass. "Good night." She offered to the woman. ((Though I'm going to be leaving in about 20 minutes and will probably be getting food before I get home.))

[Daoi Gladecu] Thank you ma'am...

*she says as she hobbles past Adamidas*

[Adara Mires] She give Adama soft, playful kiss on the cheek "Thank you for being nice"She wink and then move past her "See you in a few minutes Rhya"

She look at Sean "Are you coming?"

She had left go ofKristen's arm so she could move past Adamidas and glanced at her friend to make sure she was coming

[Adara Mires] (*She gives Adamidas...)

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] Sean moves to the side as well when they mention the doctor, letting her passed as the others speak. His eyes fall on the trio of women that are all bottlenecked at the top of the stairs. So much rage around him it could drive any normal man into fleeing the area. But he wasn't exactly normal was he.

"Kristen, its nice to met you as well."

He watches as the pair of Fury interact, watches as they begin to speak. Wondering what the whisper was all about.

"Yes, it would be a pleasure."

[Kristen Burke] She nods and follows quietly down the stairs.

[Adamidas] "I'm only nice on weekends," she says, "you're getting off easy, sistah."

She even waggles a finger at her. Insistent everywhere except her eyes. She's grinning there. We digress, though, and with that the Fury goes back to the common room to see if Lukas is there.

"Rhya, I need to talk to you."

[Adara Mires] She chuckled at her Elder and turned her head to look at her go with a smile, then walked down with Kristen and Sean "Well I"m having lamb ribs for sure" She say heading to a table "And at least a beer or two. What do you two feel liek eating?"

She sat on a chair, motioning one of thewaiter over with a a nice smile. The staff knew her by now and since hse was always friendly to them, they didn;t mind at all coming over to get her order. She wasn't one of the moody ones or dangerous one..to them

[Kristen Burke] "I've been smelling the ribs for hours now, I think I'm going to give in myself." She smiles at the water when he comes over. "And a hot cider as well." ((and she can quietly enjoy listening while I go feed and get home?))

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] He doesn't exactly look around when he gets to the bottom of the steps. He didn't ask anyone's permission to go passed the kitchen doors or up the steps. He didn't know if they even noticed. He just went for it. He just offers a smile when he finally realizes that he wasn't going to be tossed from the place.

"Never actually eaten here before. What would you suggest Adara?"

Giving her carte blanc to decide, it didn't really matter anyway. If he didn't like it, he would just deal with it until he got something better. As he takes a seat at the table across from the two women. Directing his next comment to the waiter whoever comes over.

"I'll have a grey goose and cranberry."

[Adara Mires] She smiled "Well the steaks are good..or go with the lamb like we did " She look at the waiter "Lamb ribs, 3 times. And beer for me" She say with a warm smile "So tell me a little about you Sean. Hve you been here long? Met my other sisters here or just Adamidas?"

She leaned in hr chair, the waiter took their order and left. Her merald eyes set on Sean, not staring, jsut looking at him, a friendly smile on her lips.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] After Daoi disappears down the stairs, Lukas picks up his platter of cooling kebabs. He's about two or three chunks into the next one when Adamidas approaches. Mouth full, he gestures her to sit.

After swallowing, "What's on your mind?"

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] [sorry! was doing work emails!]

[Adamidas] She drops her voice and surveys the upstairs. The Fury is taking stock of what is there. Her tools are still sitting down by the couch. Her jacket has been deposited elsewhere, and she sits down. the female puts her elbows on her knees and she watches the now adren.

"How's your pack? The last time I really interacted with you all, it was the winter solstice... it's almost spring now."

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] Lukas's eyebrow hops up; it seems to tug the corner of his lip with it. "Interesting question," he comments. "Usually I'm the one asking it, right before I set someone on some task or other. Can I ask why you ask?"

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] He sits back when she begins to put the order together. Watching how she handles herself with the waiter, and how the waiter seems not even the remotely worried about the rage that surrounded these girls. The man must have been made of pure iron. Or he pissed himself right after leaving the table.

"Hm."

His eyes met her while she talks, asking one question after another. A smile offered to her for her enthusiasm.

"I was actually raised in Chicago my whole life. Just haven't known much about.... well you. Not until some months ago. Adamidas is the only one I have know."

He undoes the buttons on his peacoat, letting it fall open. His suit a little creased from being contained within the heavy coat.

"What about you? How long have you been in Chicago?"

[Adamidas] "My duty to the sept is to ensure the spiritual welbeing of the members of this sept. I'm concerned for you," the general you, "things didn't seem so good in the prior months."

[Adara Mires] She smiled to him and shrugged "Me..oh about three weeks now. Kristen arrived last week. I come from Seattle, but I was born in Arizona." She tilted her head "So you didn't know much about us? You're one of the lsot ones aren't you? I think my dad was the same, because I had no clue about about what Iwas before Ichanged. Now that was"She paused "unpleasant"She say softly

She grinned "I got better though. Why haven't you been around more of us? There's a lot of kin and a lot of us hanging here. Upstairs is exculsive to both. You could make many new acquintances that way"

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] Now the other eyebrow goes up as well. "Thanks for the concern," he says, wry, "but what makes you say that?"

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] "Arizona, really? You must not be so used to this weather. I mean I haven't been to Arizona, but I hear it is rather warm and dry. It cannot be anything like this past winter, nothing but blizzard after blizzard."

He looks at Kristen, asking if she liked Chicago for the short time she was there. Then when the drink comes, he takes down about half of the high ball glass in one quick gulp. Getting some of the edge off.

"So are you two... whats it called... a pack?"

[Adara Mires] She smiled at him and drank form her beer "The weather? Very different form Arizona yes. But I'm ok with it. Idid travel to Wendogo's realm wearing only jeans and tank top. Trust me, that place was colder than anything this planet has felt..except maybe the ice age." She shrugh "So I'm good. Beside the weather is unimportant, it's the peopel around that makes a city interesting"

She tiled her headat his uestion "No, we're not. We're good firends. We're both free agents but we coudl end up in the same pack, who knows"

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] He finished off the rest of his drink while Adara talks about something called the Wendigo realm. He looked at her a little bit quizzically when she mentioned that.

"What is a wendigo realm? Is it anything like the twilight zone?"

A little smile and snicker at his own joke, but still serious enough to wonder what she was talking about.

[Stefan Knezevic] The Shadow Lord does not come from the downstairs. That's not where he is right now. His sports bike has been parked outside the place for quite some time, and he's actually on the roof. He's been up there for some time--meditating. He needed a place to center himself. His...unfortunate experience the other night resulted in a setback, one he may not be able to make right. He needs at least another day until he finds out what will come of his potential pack situation. In the meantime, he centers and comes back to himself. He needed it.

But now, it must be noted that he has been up there for several hours. And Stefan may be an exceptionally dedicated man, but he is still a man. Or a monster in man's form, anyway. Either way, he's getting pretty damned cold. So, his meditation finished, he stands up, picks up his jacket and slides it on over his dark navy dress shirt, and moves to make his way inside.

[Adara Mires] She smiled, drinking some more beer "Well Wendigo is a pweorful spirit, the ancestors to one of our family. His owrld is one of perpetual winter, it's harsh, windy, cold as hell is hot. A group of us had to bring back something that belonged ot him, something he wa absolutly pissed we had lost.

The trek was long, we fought some pretty huge and deadly things. I think I died, but I came back form it. Trust me you don't want to know what happened to me. Anyway, liek Isaid, after spending time there, here is comfortable. I do miss the sun though"

[Adamidas] "You said at the moot that you haven't had a theurge in your pack in months. I don't know what is going on, and I don't know if you all are getting by or not... well, obviously you are getting by, and obviously your totem is happy with you because Perun hasn't deserted you. Until recently, today in fact, I hadn't seen anything that demonstrated that you and your pack seemed... approachable."

She stops.

"I don't mean that as an insult, I mean that you're intimidating. As a result, I don't think that it's easy to approach the Unbroken. You're a resource to the sept- you're primarily composed of high ranking heavy hitters and you follow a totem that won't accept failure and thrives on conquest. But from what I've gathered... others see you all when there is a disaster, and the rest of the time you are insular. This isn't indicative of a problem, but it does lend you to being closed off when you might need help from an outside source. The last time I saw you all, one of your packmates was shaken greatly and wasobviously having difficulty reconciling her own nature.

"So, I'm asking. Are you okay? Do you need help? Are the spirits pleased with you?"

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] He looked down at his cell phone buzzing away after Adara spoke on the harsh winter that was the home spiritual realm of the Wendigo. He waited as long as he could before going to the phone.

"Excuse me I must take this call."
He goes onto the phone and starts the conversation.
"Hello...yes.... well I know... what?..... when did it happen? .............."

He seems to start to struggle at the table, seemed something at work had gone horrible wrong.

"Okay okay.... I will make a few phone calls... don't worry... I will handle it... yes.... no its fine... I got it covered.... just make sure you got everything covered on your end... I know....fine. Bye."

He looks over at the pair of girls who were talking between the pair. Finishing off the second drink in a snap of the wrist, he takes a long blink to let the alcohol settle before pulling his coat back on.

"Sorry, but I have to go... it was a pleasure to met both of you. Maybe we can do this again soon, without the interruption. Please enjoy the meal on me as a way of apologizing."

He stands besides the table, pulling out his wallet and dropping two hundreds on the table. Just in case they order more drinks.

[Stefan Knezevic] He pulls the door open and makes his way down the steps, moving in an unhurried pace. He continues on down, his footfalls sounding on the steps until he finds himself in the common room. He pauses on his way down as he hits the room, noting his Auspice Elder and his Tribal Elder. He smiles a little bit, inclining his head respectfully to both of them.

"Good evening, Rhyas."

[Adara Mires] She smiled to him "All right, Have a good night Sean, sorry you have to leave. We both stay here, in room 3 if you need help, or if you just want to talk" She wiggled her fingers at him "And thank you for dinner, It's much appreciated"

She finish her beer and the waiter arrive with the three meals. Well it seem they'll share Sean's between the two of htem.

[Sean Douglas-Pinkerton] (Thanks for the scenage)

[Adara Mires] (you're welcome)

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] Lukas listens, and as he does, he looks -- not insulted, not defensive, not on the verge of spilling his innermost emotions, but simply -- thoughtful.

There's a brief pause as he glances toward his tribesman. "Stefan. I was hoping I might run into you. I trust you got the message from my stormcrow? A followup on that: one of our kinswomen -- Daoi Gladecu -- is opening her home as a temporary safehouse for other kin of the Tribe. I was hoping you might move in for a few weeks, just to keep an eye out for them. If you can't manage I'll see if Simon can, but I'd prefer you did it. Your attunement to the spirits could be an asset."

[Adamidas] "Hey," she says to Stefan. Offers him one of those delightfully urban nods, too. Which, strangely enough, she's practiced. The girl's from the mean streets of New Hampshire; they roll hard out there. Seriously. So hard, "how's it goin'?"

[Adara Mires] She ordered three beers when hers was done, with two bottle f water, palced them in a tray lent by one of the waiter, picked two plates of ribs and after talking to Kristen, who wanted to stay downstairs ofr a while, she headed up, easilly handling the tray in one hand and the plates with the other. She didn't even stumble when she walked on the lose step. Girl had some incredible balance. She stop when she reach the end of the stairs and look at Lukas and Adamidas

She offer them a smile"I don't want to interrupt but I brought food for Damisas, beers for all, or water. Wasn;t sure what you were in the mood for."

Her eyes fell on Stefan and her smiled widened a little "Good evening Stefan, how are you doing?"

[Stefan Knezevic] And suddenly, out of nowhere, all eyes are on him. Stefan handles such situations well luckily; he's been very well-trained to. He takes the attention and questions in the order that they were directed to him. Lukas gets a moment's pause, and consideration.

"I believe that would not overly be a difficulty. If I may make a suggestion, Rhya...it may be good if both Bone-Grinder and I are there. He has a pack and I may have one soon; if one of us were called away, it would leave the other there. With what I understand to be a potentially risky situation to kinfolk going on at the moment, it could be a wise move."

He gives a little, warm smile to the two Furies. "I am moderately well, thank you. Some meditation this evening was good for me...very relaxing and centering. And both of you?"

[Adamidas] "Ready to chow down, then I have a date with a squeeky step and appeasing Uktena's brood."

They're both theurges, they know how this is going to go. They both know damned good and well that the only thing Adam can do to make Uktena happy is either give one of its chosen a secret, and a good one, or bring some insight that the tribe itself can't offer. The Fury has an uphill battle, and is running out of time.

"And thanks, Adara. Did Sean get home okay?"

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "It's a good point," Lukas agrees with Stefan. "I'll get in touch with Bone Grinder too."

Then, as Adamidas chats briefly with the Cliaths, the Shadow Lord falls quiet. There's a sense that he's simply waiting to delve back into the original conversation.

[Adara Mires] She tilt her head at Adam "I think so yes. He recived a phonecall and had to excuse himself. I told him he was welcome to visit if he needed anything or if he just felt like talking. I made the offer in my name, told him my room number so he could reach me easilly. I think I could have told him that you'd extent the same courtesy, but I didn't want to assume and speak in your place"

She hand her a plate full of lamb ribs and lowered the tray so she could pick a beer or water bottle. She then offer the tray to Lukas then Stefan. There was three beers and 2 water initially. She'll take what will be left

"I'm doing good Stefan thank you." She look at the silent Sahdow Lord "Would you prefer if I leave you all alone?"She ask him as it seem that she might have interrupted something.

[Adamidas] "Thanks. We need to catch up with him sometime. I know where to find him."
Fact: she knows where to find anyone, actually. We digress.
"And it's fine, it's a common area. We're going to step out for a bit, but if you don't see me again, you know which room is mine, right? I usually keep the door open."

[Kristen Burke] She comes back upstairs hands wrapped around a warm cup of steaming cider and looks around smiling.

[Stefan Knezevic] He gives Adamidas an understanding nod. He knows that appeasing Uktena is a tricky thing indeed, but also well worth it. "I wish you the best of luck with that Rhya, though it is of course not a matter of luck, but of skill. That being the case, I am sure you will do well."

Lukas's words draw Stefan's attention and he smiles. "Very well. I shall make contact with Miss Gladecu at my earliest opportunity." He pauses for a moment. "Also, for your edification there is a new member of our tribe within the city, a miss Nathalie Bystrov. She mentioned that she had not yet had the opportunity to speak with you, so I am passing along the information. I believe that she has invited herself to stay with Doctor Stevic and her roommate, so you can contact her through the Doctor."

Kristen gets a quick glance and a smile. "Good evening, Spirit's Touch. How are you?"

[Kristen Burke] She smiles brightly at Stefan. "Good evening Eyes of Crow. I am wonderful, and you?" She is in a lovely white summer dress with thin straps on the shoulders and the skirt ends about mid-thigh and her feet are bare. She has her usual bag with her, dangling from her arm. She walks over toward the group of them and grabs a bean bag intending to take a seat where she can see and talk to everyone there.

[Adara Mires] She nodded to Adam "Yes I know which roomyou're in. I'll definatly pop in for a caht and hang out soon. Mine is 3, doors always open as well" She offer the woman a warm smile

She tlt her head at Stefan "Do you have her number Stefan, the doctor's I mean. If not I can give it to you"

She flasha bright smile to Kristen "Welcome back" She moved to sit on the couch, not too close to both Elders, givign them some space.

[Danicka Musil] It's still sometime before dawn, but it's some time since Lukas called her and left that voicemail. The truth is, he probably thought she was sleeping. The truth is, she was just in the middle of something. More on that later.

When she arrives at the Brotherhood, it's in a pair of slim jeans tucked into knee-high boots lined with some kind of faux fur. The boots are chocolate, the fur is tawny, the jeans are indigo. Her coat is a short gray trapeze with cropped sleeves, the arms of a green sweater sticking out to her wrists. She's dressed warmly, coming up the steps steadily and slowly because she's carrying a mug of coffee -- no, see the tag, tea -- and a leather laptop bag. It's a supple-looking thing in black, the strap a vivid red and the zipper pulls silvery-bright rings. Her hair is pulled back loosely, a low offset ponytail draping over one shoulder.

Entering the common room, Danicka glances around, gives a little smile of greeting to what seems like the room in general, and walks over to the sectional, setting her tea down first on the coffee table and her laptop bag on the floor before she sits on the couch beside Lukas.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "I appreciate it. And -- I think I saw her here earlier. We didn't get a chance to speak, but I'm sure she'll turn up at the tribe gathering, if not before."

On that note, Lukas gets up, picking up his platter with the last kebab or two on it. "I'm going to get a drink downstairs," he says to Adamidas. "Want to continue our conversation there?"

That's when Danicka shows up. Lukas's head turns. He looks at Danicka immediately; to say he brightens at the sight of her would not be inaccurate. At all. "Hey," he says. "What are you doing here? It's," a glance at his watch, "half past three." And he tilts sideways on the couch, pulling a USB key out of his pocket and handing it to her. Explanation is apparently not necessary.

[Danicka Musil] "Eye see see," is the only explanation Danicka gives Lukas for why it's half past three and she's not only awake but here. Before she sits she takes the USB key he palms to her, kisses his cheek, sitting on the cushion by his. She glances over at Adamidas, taking a sip of her tea. "It was pretty epic."

[Kristen Burke] She grins at her roommate. "Thank you. Have I missed anything interesting?"

[Adamidas] "Sounds good," she tells him. And she is gathering up her things. Tool belt goes around her waist, which makes her pants sag a little to the left. The Fury frowns and tightens the belt more. It's heavier than she remembered. the jacket comes next. Danicka gets a wave.

Eye see see.

She looks really confused, but has her jacket on. Like a tiny (read: five foor four inch) lumberjack.

"Watch your step, I haven't fixed it yet."

[Stefan Knezevic] A little nod to Lukas, and then a pleasant smile to Danicka when she appears. "Good evening," he says to her. "A pleasure to see you again."

Adara gets a brief, furrowed brow. It is replaced by pleasantness quickly though. "I have Doctor Stevic's contact information. Thank you for the offer, however."

And finally Kristen gets his attention. "I am well enough, I suppose. And you?"

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] Lukas laughs, leaning into the kiss on his cheek. "Did you see, my dray-nay's level fifty now?" And then he gets up, returning the kiss on the cheek for a kiss dropped on the top of Danicka's head. "Save my seat. I'll be right back.

"Adamidas?" He tilts his head toward the stairs.

[Kristen Burke] She laughs at Stefan's response. "Less distracted than you it would seem." Her eyes dance merrily. "Or perhaps you are simply tired?" After all, asking her how she's doing twice in a row would seem to imply he had forgotten he had asked.

[Adara Mires] She saw the beautiful blonde coming in and sit with Lukas. She offered a nod to her "Good evening Miss, how are you?'

Sh looked at Kristen "Nothing much hun. I kinda interrupted the Rhyas in their conversation" She say with an apologetic smile to them.

She tilt her head at tefan "I meant Dr Gladecu. I don't have Dr Stevic's number"Yet that is, she think to herself.

[Adamidas] "... what's a dray-nay?" She's headed down to the stairs, skips the fourth one and holds onto the handrail. It doesn't wobble under her grasp. The Fury smiles.

[Danicka Musil] Danicka hisses as Lukas lays that kiss on her forehead. "Alliance scum," she mock-seethes at him, opening up her bag to take out her laptop and perch it atop her thighs. She hasn't removed her coat. As the computer starts up though, she finally looks at the others, Adara and Kristen and Stefan. "I'm well," she tells Adara. "And who might you be?"

[Adara Mires] She smiled to Danicka "My name is Adara Mires, Black Fury, Gallairdm Cliath. Pleased to meet you Miss..?" She ask her with a curious yet friendly look.

She put the tray with the beers and water on the table. Since no one picked anything, she took a beer, placed it between her legs as she sat in the indian positon and now happilly start mucnhing on her lamb ribs. There were really good.

[Stefan Knezevic] He listens to Adara and them nods. "Ahh. I was not aware that Dr. Gladecu was actually a doctor. That would be most appreciated."

[Kristen Burke] "And I am Kristen Burke, Spirit's Touch, Fianna Theurge Cliath." She offers for Danicka as well and then moves closer to Adara to steal some ribs.

[Adara Mires] She raise a brow at Kristen and growled softly movign the plate away "My ribs. Mine!"

She keep her offended face for another 2 seconds then broke into a wide, warm smile "KIdding hun"She move the plate back so Kristen can have some. She drank from her bottle "Beer and water for those who wants some"She offer, pointing at the tray on the table

[Kristen Burke] She pouts, a full on pout with those full lips and her eyes go wide as the meat is pulled away from her. "But..." It's so horribly pitiful. Then the plate is brought back and she grabs one before Adara can change her mind and grins.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] "Draenei," Lukas says, heading downstairs, trying very hard to pronounce it right. "It's a fictional race from World of Warcraft. Big blue Russian guys with hooves and horns, all cheerful and heroic."

Then they're downstairs, and Lukas is setting his plate with the rest of the dirtied dishes. Pulling open one of the industrial-sized fridges along the wall, he helps himself to a can of coke, tossing Adamidas another.

"About what you said upstairs," he says, pulling out a stool at the staff table with his foot and levering himself up, "the truth is if we'd been alone at the moment, I would've probably given you a stone cold set-down, Adamidas. Now that I've had a chance to mull things over quietly, I have to say ... I'm still not quite sure why you asked or what you thought you'd get out of it.

"I can't imagine that you thought you'd actually get an answer. If my pack really was as insular, closed off, and unwilling to ask for help as you think, then you can't possibly think I'd open up and discuss whether or not I thought we were having problems. And if we aren't actually insular, closed and proud, then calling us that would just insult us." A pause. "Did insult me.

"Finally, whether or not we're insular, coming up to a Shadow Lord out of the blue to say you think his pack might be weak is ... not advisable, Adamidas. Say it to someone like Simon, and see how many pieces you end up in. Say it to someone like Danicka's brother, and the next time you cross the Gauntlet you might 'accidentally' end up in Malfeas.

"But I doubt you approached me because you actually wanted to piss me off. So if you came to talk to me because you're genuinely concerned, then I say to you, thanks for asking, but we're doing fine. We have our ups and downs. So does any other pack. But we're not ... crumbling at the core, and we won't, and I'm frankly confused as to why you thought we might. And next time you want to drop by and ask how things are going, just say so. Don't make it sound like an interrogation. Don't immediately throw out assumptions and accusations when I ask why you're asking."

A pause, long enough for Lukas to pop his can of coke open and take a sip.

"On the other hand," he continues, "if you're actually asking as a way of putting out feelers toward my invitation to the unpacked Theurges of the Sept -- then be upfront about that, too."

[Danicka Musil] "Dani&+269;ka Musil," she tells Adara and Kristen. Her connection to Lukas is evident enough that it likely doesn't require comment: the way he lit up when she entered the room, the way that when her smile found him it was a little warmer, a little more personal than when she smiled at the rest of them. The way she went right to him, and the way they laid small, polite kisses of greeting onto each other as though they had a freedom to one another's bodies. That and the ring he wears on his left hand, which doesn't quite match the one on hers.

No brilliant-cut diamond, though, no ring of his birthstone. It's a simple band of white gold, brushed to a matte finish rather than glossy. The edges show a hint of rose gold, which makes up the otherwise unseen interior of the ring. She doesn't say her name is Kvasni&+269;ka, though, doesn't correct Adara with a Mrs., not Miss.

She boots up her laptop, and plugs in the USB key Lukas handed her.

[Adara Mires] She had blinked at the pout a few seconds after it was over. Damn. She closed her eyes and shook her head. The imgage was burned in her mind forever. Not that she mind. A bite off a rib then her attention move back to Danicka

"It's a pleasure meeting you Danicka" She say in a warm, soft, clear voice. She watched the woman and her laptop with curiosity. Though she owuld never ask her what she was doing. It seemed a little nosey. It happened that she was, once in a while but mostly when people felt down, not when they might be working.

[Kristen Burke] She eats the rib then considers the bone...hmm...cooked probably not. She tosses it. Spirits liked some odd things but she didn't think the leftover bone from ribs picked clean would be one of them. "Nice to meet you Danicka."

[Kristen Burke] She turns her gaze over to Stefan. "So what have you been up to?"

[Stefan Knezevic] He looks to Kristen and gives her a light shrug. "Today? Meditating up on the roof." He smiles, a slow and easy expression.

"Over the last few days? Keeping myself attentive to potential situations where I may be of use and assisting where possible. Yourself?"

[Kristen Burke] She nods. "Similar. I have arranged to assist in investigating a couple of different troubling things going on in the city. Kin being harassed and possibly kidnapped as well as someone buying up the land around the caern."

[Adamidas] It's a fictional race from World of Warcraft. Big blue Russian guys with hooves and horns, all cheerful and heroic.
"... nerd." She's not even serious, she can't even get through saying it without laughing.

The can of coke is caught with both hands, and is sitting upside down in her left hand. She turns it over and taps on the top. Once, twice, three times again and pulls the tab back. Something makes her stop, and she waits a second before cracking it open. She waits her turn.

"But I'm not talking to Danicka's brother, and I'm not talking to Simon. I'm talking to you, and I know that if you'd wanted to lay me out cold for insinuating that your pack is not a pillar of strength, you would have. And if you would have, I would have deserved it, I was out of line and I apologise for offending you. It wasn't my intention."

It's the most she says for now. She takes a drink.

"The answer I was looking for, you've given me. I'd expected either to be throated- mind your own business. Or a simple thanks, we're doing fine. I never said that you were falling apart at your core. I know you're not. If you were, your totem wouldn't stand for it.

"What I'm saying is this: it's hard to talk to you guys. I have a hard time coming up and saying hi or asking how things are because you're the fucking Unbroken. And I talk to concrete. Do you know how hard it is to talk to concrete? Do you know what concrete talks about? It blows my mind. It's easier to approach things like an interrogation because it means you'll give it the time of day. The impression given most of the time is that it's all business with you, because there's more important matters than doing a spiritual wellness check."

A beat.

"And I'm not putting out a feeler. Some part of me has a feeling that my presence and approach at life would offend your patron. I'm no conqueror general, and I've learned my lesson about frontline combat. Besides, I won't be looking for a pack until I've paid my dues to Coatl."

[Danicka Musil] Danicka, after a quick round of greetings, has just worked on her laptop for the last few minutes. She's tapping away at the keys, but when the conversation turns to the very issue she's working on, she lifts her eyes and then her brows. "Kin being harassed?"

[Adara Mires] She listen to them, eating her ribs silently, enjoying the taste, drinking her beer slowly. Eyes moving to Danicka ot Stefan, to Kristen. "Did you get to finalize everything with Hunter?"She ask Stefan "You told me things were looknig good last time we talked"

[Stefan Knezevic] "I had heard about the kinfolk situation," he muses. "But not the land acquisition. Interesting."

He looks over at Adara, and there passes...something like a shadow over his expression. It's fleeting, almost missed, but there. For just a second, the pleasantness cracks into a frown, and then back. "It is not finalized yet. There have been a few complications. I am certain they will be worked out."

[Adara Mires] She watched Stefan and she tilt her head "Are you ok Stefan?"She was with genuine concern "I thought everything was said and done." She pass a hand in her hair, not the one she used for the ribs, mind you "Would you liek to take a walk or go out ofr drinks and talk about it? Maybe I could help you"

She shrugh "I don't want to pry, but maybe you need ot talk to a friend about it"

[Kristen Burke] She nods at Danicka. "Creatures, unseen even when they are heard and felt. They have rage and are tainted. Dr. Gladecu is going to examine a sample of the blood from the knife Miss Cassie Young had when I witnessed it. I believe the blood to belong to these creatures. Unfortunately the woman ran and disappeared before we could stop her and the creatures left as well."

Her eyes moved to Stefan. "I heard about it this evening when Simon reported on it to Lukas and they were looking for people to investigate the person and companies that are working on the acquisitions. I believe they intend on turning it all into a dump site."

[Danicka Musil] Danicka's eyes flick towards Stefan for a moment, then back to Kristen, still curious about the kinfolk situation. Her hands are, for the moment, still on her laptop. A faint frown appears between her eyebrows, as thoughtful as concerned. "Hmm," is all she says, and resumes her typing.

[Kristen Burke] She tilts her head at Danicka, "I am to speak with Sarita later as Lukas informed me that she has been leading the investigation for that. Have you also been working on it?"

Then she looks back at Stefan and Adara, a faint frown of concern but Adara had already made the offer to walk with him. Another would just be a crowd.

[Stefan Knezevic] He gives Adara a friendly, even grateful smile. "Thank you, Songs of Life. I appreciate the concern, but it is merely a slight bump in the road. Everything will work out, and I have absolutely no doubt of that. If I do require someone to speak to about it, I will let you know."

[Adara Mires] She smiled to him "All right, you know where to reach me if you want that talk..or any other really. I liek to think I"m good company"She say with a playful smile.

She thought she was, but she didn't want to sound arrogant about it either "I hope ofr you it will get settled. I'd liek ot get to know HUnter nad his pack better, but he never contacted me to go hunting"

[Stefan Knezevic] "Again, thank you." He inclines his head to her. "I am positive that it will be settled shortly. I wish you the best of luck in your own packing endeavors."

[Kristen Burke] "I'm sure that he hasn't forgotten. Perhaps things just have been busy." She offers for her roommate. "Though if it doesn't work out, we could always form our own pack. She actually includes both in the statement."

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] Lukas sits at the small, high table reserved for staff and residents to grab a quick bite in the kitchen before heading out for the day. Or if they simply didn't feel like eating in the common room, or out in the restaurant. He sits there the way he always does, hunkered over on a high stool, elbows folded at the edge of the table, shoulders a mile wide. He listens, and sometimes he looks bemused, and other times simply amused.

When she's finished, he takes a long drink from his coke can. Sets it down the way a man sets down a chess piece: gently, thoughtfully.

"I expect my share of respect," he says, "what with three alphaships behind my name and adren rank besides. But respectful doesn't mean intimidated. I respect my father. I respect my old mentor. I respect the Grand Elder and the Warder. I don't fear them. And most of the Garou and kin I interact with -- those that have known me for any time -- I don't smell fear on them, either. Or intimidation, or whatever you want to call it. Sometimes I don't smell much respect either," his mouth quirks, "and frankly, those are the ones that should fear me, because render unto Lukáš what is Lukáš's. But you...

"I don't know why you'd fear me, Adamidas. As far as I know you haven't done anything to deserve my wrath. And you're a Fostern, getting near Adren yourself. You're the elder of your Auspice and your Tribe. You were the Alpha of your pack. We're not so very far apart. And I've never, as far as I know, given you cause to fear me.

"So if you feel intimidated by me and mine, maybe you should look into yourself and see why that is. What's causing it. What makes you feel so -- inferior, if you'll pardon the phrase, that you cower so."

A pause, and another sip.

"As for packing -- I'll be honest. I've considered you, even while you were still packed with Harmony. I liked you both. Perun's not quite the sort of totem you think he is; personality fit was never the holdup. I never acted to extend an invitation because you've an Eldership of your own and I didn't think the Unbroken needed more titles amongst our ranks.

"Still. If you pay your dues to Coatl and you do get interested, come pay us a visit. I wouldn't mind giving you a shot. But I will say this: if you do come by, make sure you're over whatever it is that makes you feel intimidated by us. Because if you're not, then there's no point. You don't want to pack with someone you fear, and I don't want to pack with someone who's afraid to speak her mind plainly."

[Adara Mires] She nodded to him "You're welcome Stefan. I have a other option and as Kristen said"She offer her roomate a smile "I could be part of a new one. I think Adamidas has lsot her pack..I"m not sure. There's also another forstern fury who is packless, a cliath fury who is in a pack of two...we could all join force, with Kristenand be all girl power and all"

She grins "I don't know..really. Time will tell" She offer the two last ribs to Kristen

[Kristen Burke] She laughs. "Though I know Ki is looking for a pack to join as well."

[Stefan Knezevic] "Well then, it appears that you have many options." He chuckles a little, his attention split evenly between Kristen, Adara and Danicka. Just because the Lord kin is quiet and typing does not mean that she has to feel left out of the conversation.

[Adara Mires] She nodded slowly "I do. I liek to think I make my own luck, so it nothing pops up, then I'll make my own." She look at Kristen "I liek KI, he's sweet. Kinda eager though. So if I ever pack with him, I'll needa good sit down with him, to truly assess his capacities and what he want"

She grins "He's really cute, in a puppy kind of way"

[Danicka Musil] Other than that flick of Danicka's eyes in Stefan's direction, there's not much further involvement from the fairhaired Shadow Lord kinswoman in the conversation. She's working away at her laptop, the light on the USB drive blinking despite the fact that the files are already on her computer in another location. There's a reason she works from the key instead, at least to start with. And it does take her concentration.

Truth be told, there's less a sense that she feels left out or excluded than that she simply has no interest in the talk of who will join what pack, or start their own, or the like. Truth be told, there's really only one pack that has much impact on her life, and even they are kept rather separate from her. There's no secrecy about Lukas's mateship -- he mentions it sometimes, when he's leaving a gathering, that he's going to her. 'Home', essentially, wherever that might be despite the room he keeps here.

Danicka does not, from all appearances, spend all of her free time with the Unbroken. Danicka does not wonder aloud much, ask much, about the packs of Chicago or their doings. At the moment, Danicka does what a woman of her build -- which is thin, and perhaps even a touch fragile -- and skills -- which are relatively unknown -- can do for the so-called War Effort.

Then again, they can all scent her breeding. They know what she is. Kin of Thunder. Mate of a triplicate Alpha. Daughter of a renowned Elder, sister of a Theurge of well repute. She's of a tribe where weakness is not tolerated, where kin are dominated, where eyes and ears and tattling tongues are used as much as careless mouths are exploited.

She sits quietly, working away.

[Kristen Burke] "I think he just wants to feel needed. He does have that puppy vibe doesn't he." She laughs. "I'll be working with him investigating the people buying up land so that could help."

[Stefan Knezevic] Adara calls another Garou 'cute, in a puppy kind of way' and Kristen agrees. Stefan arches an eyebrow arches an eyebrow in response. He looks around the room once more, and then inclines his head to all.

"I should depart to my hotel for the night. Songs of Life, Spirit's Touch...Danicka. May each of you have a pleasant ans safe evening, and I look forward to speaking with you at later times."

[Stefan Knezevic] [[ - 1 set of "arches an eyebrow']]

[Kristen Burke] "Rest well Eyes of Crow, I hope that your troubles ease soon." She nods at the man as he prepares to leave.

[Danicka Musil] She looks up when she hears a version of her name, giving Stefan a nod and a small smile. "See you around," she tells him, but it seems that he's not the only one choosing to tactfully ignore Adara and Kristen's assessment of another Garou.

[Adara Mires] She nodded "Yes, I hope he will prove himself to be more than a sociable eating machine"She smiled "I really like him. If he is good in a fight, I wouldn't mind him watching my back"

She place the empty plate down and pick another beer since hers was empty. She look at Stefan

"Have a good nigh, Eyes of Crow, be safe"

[Stefan Knezevic] A smile, and he descends the stairs. He passes his way across the floor, a respectful nod of farewell given to Adamidas and Lukas so as not to ignore then, but to avoid intruding on their conversation as well.

He makes it to the door and slips outside. Moments later, the sounds of his sport boke can be heard driving off into the night.

[Adamidas] "Do not insinuate that I am afraid of flesh and blood or anything so temporary. There are so few things in this world worth being afraid of, and by virtue of what you are, you can only ever possibly be half of it."

That's a theurge's approach, or at least this one. It's not snapped, it's not growled, it's laid out very calmly. very carefully. She chose those words when describing the body, exists in a state more eternal. The tone becomes more conversational.

"Besides, if I were afraid of you, we wouldn't be having this conversation at all. Intimidation and fear, in my mind, are not the same thing. And fear isn't bad. I think-"

she stops, puts a hand up and raises her can.

"Okay. Being afraid, or being intimidating, or finding something daunting can either be a motivator to become better. It can become a goal, it can become something you can overcome or press past and a milestone, you can laugh about it and say I can't believe I ever thought that and you can move on. Or, you can let it sit there, you can stagnate, and never grow. I find you intimidating, but that's a goal. We are not that far apart in rank, we hold the same positions.

"I'm looking forward to the day that the awe fades, because I like the idea of looking at you like a rival. The only difference between you and me? A rank, some experience... and about ten years. You're kinda older than dirt, Lukáš," she grins, and the expression is playful.

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] Lukas's eyebrow quirks; he doesn't quite join in on the joke. "I'd rather you thought of me as an ally," he says bluntly, "seeing as how that's how I think of you."

[Adamidas] "Who said that it had to be one or the other? We don't live in a binary world. It's not ones and zeroes, you can be an ally and a rival and a host of other things all at once."

A beat. More honest this time.

"I think of you, right now, as a person I trust. And a person I respect, and even admire a little. And a person. I thought the fact that I see you as an ally, unconditionally, was understood. I wouldn't confide in you if you weren't."

[Lukas Wyrmbreaker] That implacable intensity -- that same lightning-eyed intensity that is, frankly enough, good reason to be intimidated by Lukas whether or not he realizes it himself -- abates only when Adamidas gets serious. Then the Shadow Lord nods a few times, a faint smile returning to his mouth.

"Okay. I'm glad."

On that note, he drains his soda, straightening up to execute a rather impressive basket-toss straight into the trash can. Turning back, he puts his hands on the tabletop, climbs off the stool.

"You coming? I'm going to head back up. Glad we talked, Adamidas."

[Adamidas] "Nah," she starts, and drains her soda can. The female her can at the trashcan. it doesn't make it and she gives the can a rather sour look, "I have to finish a shrine to Coatl before he eats my soul."

She really, really wishes she were joking. It's written plain across her face that she is dead serious about that.

"It's almost spring."

She meanders over to go pick up her can and drop it in the trash. She looks back and smiles, it's genuine.

"I'm glad we did, too. See ya, Lukas."

[Danicka Musil] After a few -- let's face it -- several minutes, Danicka stops typing. She stretches a bit, sticking her legs out and pointing her toes before letting her feet back to the floor. She exhales and then gets up, carrying her laptop but bending to pick up the bag. Apparently she's done waiting out here for Lukas. It takes some work to get bag, computer, and half-empty mug of tea all lifted up, but she manages with surprising grace.

"It was good to meet you, however brief it was," she tells Adara and Kristen. No message is left with them for her mate. He'll know where to find her. And if he doesn't, he'll seek her out and find her anyway. She smiles, excusing herself to the hallway. A moment later there's a juggling of items, a jingling of keys, and the door to Room 2 opens.

Closes.

[Danicka Musil] [Thanks for the RP, everybody!]

[Kristen Burke] She nods at Danicka. "Good night."

[Adara Mires] She opened her bottle and drank some, shisting position so her legs were under her. She look at a Kristen for a moment "Well that's a quiet saturday night" She tell her roomate, one elbow propped on the back o the couch, her head resting against her hand.

She didn't look bored per se. More relaxed, calm despite her rage, comfortable. She didn'seem fidgety, or unable to stay still for long. In fact it's quite the opposite. She was raised a Galliard and you have to learn early to sit quietly and listen. This probably why she seemed more laid back than many, she was used to be calm and focused. You don't learn anything while being angry after all.

She was also used to listen and not just listen, understand. Part of it came form her own persnality, and part of it form years of taining. After all a Galliard doesn't just repeat words she has learned. She has to understand them, the lesson or the meaning of the song or story and make it her own. Hercapacity to listen also made her inclined to help others, have them confide, then advise them as best she could. It worked pretty well usually

Her eyes fell on Danicka again, watching her work. The kin seemed to e in her own world right now. Or maybe she was not interested in talknig with her or Kristen. Well she'll know soon enough or not. She was about to speak when the woman got up and bid them good night

"Have a good night Dancka" She tell the kin

"ow
