now who's sulking? [summary]

(F'ING FORGOT TO C&P.

So.

Summary:

Lukas returns from the earlier nightclub jaunt somewhat disheveled and inebriated, and finds Andrea sitting alone in a dark kitchen, mysteriously distressed. There's bread, wine, an apple and a knife on the table in front of her, which he moves aside so he can sit up on the table.

He takes a drink of her wine, passes it to her, and she starts to leave. He tells her to sit back down. She says no way, puts the wine back down hard, and he snaps at her (literally). She slaps him. He backhands her; there's a moment of attraction on his part, but firmly held in check. He pulls her up and then asks her wtf was the problem. She says it's none of his business. He says, derisively, "Now who's sulking?"

She insists she's not sulking and gets up to leave. He asks her if she intended to go outside in those clothes (tank top and jeans); she says yes and walks out. He takes his time walking out after her, but has the good grace to bring his overcoat to offer to her.

Outside, she smokes a cigarette shakily and hands him a note. He reads it; it's a 'our condolences' note; he guesses that it's her daughter, which she confirms. He asks when she found out, and she says just today. The note is dated a month ago. He doesn't ask why.

They go back in. He apologizes for his earlier ridicule, and she dismisses it. He draws her into an embrace, which she is unresponsive to initially, and then resists violently. He doesn't let go until she pleads to be left alone, upon which he does, gathering his things and giving her what he considers the mercy of her privacy.
